The HPE MSL 1/8 G2 0-Drive Tape Autoloading system provides organizations with an economical and efficient way to perform automated backups of long-term stored data. The system is a base unit that can be configured to use any of four different sizes of LTO Ultrium tape drives (LTO5, LTO6, LTO7, or LTO8). Companies can choose which tape drive technology they wish based on their storage needs and budget.

This unit features an 8-cartridge slot with a compact 1U chassis that eliminates the need to handle tapes when performing backups and archiving. The removable magazine design makes it easier to manage the media, while the integrated barcode reader allows you to track and account for the cartridge inventory.
