The HPE’s H241 Smart Host Bus Adapter is engineered in order to facilitate high-speed, reliable connecting storage to enterprise-level servers from within the server’s chassis.

By using this adapter, enterprise-level servers are also able to support 12Gb/s SATA or SAS, resulting in faster transfer of data and greater efficiency when operating multiple types of storage, including virtualization products, databases and enterprise-level workloads.

Due to its use of the PCIe 3.0 x8, low profile, and half-height designs, the H241 Smart HBA has been tested against and determined compatible with multiple generations of the HPE ProLiant server platform – Gen9 and Gen10.

The H241 Smart HBA also provides HPE Array software RAID functionality, which improves redundancy for and protection of data in multi-tiered applications.
